2023 Summer Short-Term Intern

Location: Light and Salt Association office, 3535 Briarpark Dr #135, Houston, TX 77042. This program consists of two components. The first component consists of 5 nutrition lessons (3 hours each). Topics covered include nutrition facts, healthy snacks, cooking demonstrations, food labelling, healthy weight and physical activity. The second component of the program includes 5 training sessions related to cancer prevention education and screening. Specific topics include presentations on cancer differences and initiatives, cancer education and screening, precision medicine, and community outreach programs.
